16Word keeps your data in your own browser using local storage and a sign-in token. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not share your data with third-party trackers.
These are required for the app to work and are exempt from consent.
If you opt in, we collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how the app is used and improve it: our own first-party events (stored in our database) and Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, which sets analytics cookies (e.g. _ga). Nothing runs until you opt in, the mobile apps use no tracking at all — and you can change your mind any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
If you opt in, Google Ads conversion measurement may set cookies (e.g. _gcl_au) so we can tell which of our own ads brought you to 16Word — for example an ad for our Luxembourgish course. We never show ads inside 16Word and never sell your data. Without this opt-in, all advertising signals stay disabled (Google Consent Mode v2).
Checkout is handled by Stripe, which sets its own strictly-necessary cookies only on the payment page to process your transaction securely.
You can review or change your choice any time, or clear everything from your browser settings.
